With this work, Mark brings us all of the U.N.E.S.C.O. Sites in Canada, and his first hand education in the geography, geology, palaeontology, and history of Canada.

Mark’s love of nature, adventure, camping, the open road and Black & White photography are passions that he combined to produce this body of work. Encapsulating a traditional silver-based approach to photography Looking for solitude and beauty

Mark chose the U.N.E.S.C.O. World Heritage Sites of Canada as his map and guide, to explore his subject matter. Photographing from helicopter, airplane, jet boat, canoe and on foot, he sees the world through a unique eye. Places that few people ever see, as well as those crowded with tourists.

On his journeys Mark encountered an ancient sea high in the mountains, land both new and ancient, majestic glaciers, vast river systems, fjords, the ragged edge of both sides of the continent, fossils millennia old, historical and cultural sites reaching back into Canada’s recent and pre-colonial past.

With this work Mark brings you, all the U.N.E.S.C.O. Sites in Canada, and a first hand education in the geography, geology, palaeontology and history of Canada.
